How do you keep kids busy with out creating more work for yourself?

Home from Disneyland & leaving for the Cabin

Alayna and I went to Disneyland with David's family last week. David had to stay home and work. He wants to use his vacation days for a two week trip up to Yellowstone. Well, taking a 11 month old to Disneyland is exhausting. Especially when the baby has become a mama's girl and will have nothing to do with the aunts and grandma. We loved the shows and I even got to go on some rides. I love the baby carriers, when Alayna got tired of the stroller she rode on me. We are now packed and ready to leave with my parents to go to a cabin up on the rim. Time to rest in the mountains. Once again David is working, but he will get to join us on the weekend. (maybe even take Friday off). I plan to do some sewing and reading. And lots of long walks. Hopefully Alayna will not be so clingy and be nicer to her mom. Trips are hard when you change a little ones routine.
